Frenzy Jones
Bulgarian producer Frenzy Jones pays homage to Mexican songwriter Consuelo Velázquez's bolero classic, Bésame Mucho. Heavily synthesized but with a touch a brass, Jones' house music rendition feels like a pioneering piece of synth music pulled out of the early 70s, something Jean-Jacques Perrey would have appreciated. The cover song is paired with Jones' original work, Cuba Libre, a fusion of house and what sounds like 1960s adult contemporary. A fantastic release!
